A powerful steam train in Afghanistan, crossing the border area with Pakistan, set back into another century, where people still seem to be living like some thousand years ago. Only one of the train’s passengers has his origins in the west. A windsurfer and filmmaker, who is on the way into a hidden valley in the mountains of Pakistan to visit his close friend Nazir Sabir, a well known mountaineer who climbed five 8,000 m peaks. The reason for this trip is the idea to find the highest lakes for wind & kite surfing in Pakistan, India, Nepal and Tibet for a world record attempt in high altitude wind and kite-surfing in the Himalayas.
