When facing a mountain of 8,000 m like the Nanga Parbat it is a battle against the high altitude and the harsh elements, but most of all it is a battle against the almost impassable barrier in our heads. The mountains of our mind are as imposing and dangerous as those made of rocks and ice. This ascension to the Nanga Parbat is special because the main protagonists are young, devoted and brave women. It also proves how courage, team work, being able to face adversity and suffering are not exclusively characteristics of male climbers, but great common goods.
