Without any doubt the Antarctic is the most remote land on our planet. The threemaster “Europa” glides through a magic world of fantastic ice sculptures, in a mystic light along majestic rock faces. After 30 years, this is the first big sailing boat which dares to sail the Antarctic water. On board is a motley crew of seven different nations and the nature film maker Roland Gockel. With impressing pictures he documents this adventurous and poetic journey through a bizarre landscape. This film depicts a rich picture of the south-polar peninsula with its animals and allows the spectators to experience the magic of the Antarctic and its impact on the human soul.
