Is a cornfield only a place for producing food? Or is it a living space full of mysteries? Does it have something in common with true nature at all? With spectacular pictures this film takes the public to living spaces right outside of our doors which up until now have only been given little attention. The film presents the rich diversity of field dwellers and shows how the different species arrange their life amongst each other after having settled on the bare acre in springtime. However, modern industrialized agriculture has almost everywhere sacrificed the biodiversity, the clean groundwater and healthy soils for its benefit. After an exciting year in this organic cornfield we might take more care of ecological agriculture.
