The alpine hut „Hans-Berger-Haus“ is located at the very end of the valley Kaisertal near Kufstein. It is a romantic area, on rainy days very lonely, at a distance of two and a half hours of foot walk away from the busy modern world and its every-day life. Already as a young woman, the passionate mountaineer Silvia decided to live the special life of an alpine host on the foot of the Wilder Kaiser. At the beginning she was smiled at as a “girl”; she had to struggle to gain the respect of certain male guests. Every summer, the single mother works on the hut seven days a week, with vehemence, passion and her own philosophy.
