Bergblut

In the year 1809, the young Bavarian Katharina, daughter of a doctor, has to flee together with her husband Franz from his homeland Tyrol. Franz gets infected by the hype surrounding Andreas Hofer, a captain of the Tyrolean Schützen-company and a host, who invoked the Tyrolean farmers to revolt against the Bavarian and French occupying forces. Soon Franz has to leave his wife in order to fight in the war. As a Bavarian woman, Katharina has to struggle hard to gain the respect of the villagers. She has no idea, just how close her and Franz’s destiny are linked to the destiny of Andreas Hofer.
