Fresh snow in summer – in the tundra of Norway and on its high planes this is quite normal. As if time had stood still for 10.000 years. This film follows a herd of musk oxes during one year and accompanies the animals when they are hiking, mating and raising their kids and when they are brutally fighting their rutting season in autumn. However, one can also watch some less eye-catching natural spectacles, like the fairy-like courtship of groups of the great snipes in Norway’s mountain tundra, or the majestic white tailed eagles hunting for fish along the steep rocky costs, or the colourful Slavonian grebes dancing for courtship on the numerous lakes.
