Sambesi – die große Flut

The magic of the Sambesi is partly caused by its dimensions alone. On a length of 2.600 km, this by far most imposing river in southern Africa, meanders from west to east, across the Black Continent. As hardly any other river, the Sambesi owes its charisma mainly to the endless biodiversity of animals and plants, which prosper in it and along it. In peaceful times, young elephants play, spray water on each other with their trunks. In times of flood water however, millions of tons of water break the banks and change the landscape seriously.
