“B.A.S.E. Matterhorn”
Adventure (), Mario Kreuzer 22 min
The Matterhorn – probably the best known silhouette on our planet – is an impressive symbol for challenges not only for mountaineers and climbers. The Swiss Ueli Gegenschatz and the Austrian Hannes Arch, two professional B.A.S.E. jumpers and alpinists, find their challenge there: in a free fall. At an altitude of 4,200 metres, even the lightest wind could put an end to this challenge. The thin air and the close rock faces demand precise preparation in order to make a “lived” adventure of these few seconds of adrenaline.
