“Bären in der Brenta”
Nature and Environment (), Angela Schmid, Udo A. Zimmermann 29 min
Holidaymakers know and love the Italian Dolomites. A few months ago something changed in the Brenta, however. Wild brown bears live here again. In the protected nature park Parco Adamello Brenta, nine of these huge beasts of prey are on their own. They were captured in Slovenia, drugged and set free in Italy. Now they live there, in a magnificent landscape which though is not deserted. In the meantime, there have been some initial incidents. The Italians are laidback and have no problem with their new neighbours. The tourists, however, sometimes have an anxious feeling.
