“Regenwald der Österreicher”
Nature and Environment (), Barbara Puskás, Dieter Pochlatko 45 min
Thanks to the initiative of the Viennese violin professor Michael Schnitzler and with the help of Austrian charity money, Costa Rica – the rich coast – has become a new treasure: a forest whose geographic, climatic and historic characteristics, with its more than 3,000 different plant species, give it the richest diversity of species in the world. This green jewel, the Bosque Esquinas, is located in the southeast part of the country, and, together with the Corcovado National Park, it is the last untouched rain forest in deep regions along the Pacific Coast of Central America.
