“Wo Wildnis erwacht – Der erweiterte Nationalpark Bayrische Wald”
Nature and Environment (), Jürgen Eichinger 43 min
This national park in Germany was founded in 1970 and was recently enlarged to double its size. The enormous area extends from Lusen and Rachel and the area of Falkenstein to Bayrisch Eisenstein. Thus, the largest German national park is “allowed” to develop according to the laws of nature without any human interaction. Untouched mountain forests, romantic gorges, mythical moors and lakes offer shelter for rare and endangered animals such as the Ural owl, capercaillie and lynx.
