Hanoi: Priscilla Telmon sets off. Her goal: to traverse the Himalayas, alone and on foot. From the tropical rain forests in Vietnam she climbs high, crossing the Chinese region Yunnan up to the snow deserts of Tibet, to Lhasa, the forbidden city. Priscilla continues her way across the Himalayas, she traverses the long battled area of Sikkim and discovers the amazing Indian Subcontinent. In the Golf of Bengalen, in Kalkotta, at the Holy River, amongst thousands of celebrating pilgrims, she finally reaches the goal of her journey. On her 5.000 kilometres long foot march taking six months, Priscilla was never alone. Another woman accompanies her: Alexandra David-Neel, an explorer from Paris who already achieved this enormous adventure 80 years ago. Priscilla demonstrates that nothing has changed on the roof of the world – neither the strains of travelling nor the restrictions allowing her to penetrate this realm.
