In the snow-covered plains of the northern Mongolia live the Tsaatan nomads. The young Quizilol and the beautiful Solongo fall in love. In order to prove to her father that he is mature enough to marry his daughter, he has to possess his own reindeer herd. Quizilol’s father gives him a breeding animal, however, during a snow storm, the white reindeer escapes. The young man is now all on his own. He sets off to capture the reindeer, because without it he would never be able to win his girl Solongo.
