We accompany the film team to north east Siberia, where it is so cold, that the milk is not sold fluid in bottles but frozen in discs. In the North-American Death Valley and in the African Danakil Desert we experience the opposite extreme, which are the regions with the highest annual average temperatures of the world. Finally we explore the place in Libya, where at the beginning of the 20th century one recorded the highest temperature ever measured.
