The land of the fjords is located in the south west of New Zealand. Once a year, conservationists navigate on the roads of water to those islands, which usually are barred from visitors. Here the dream of many conservationists in New Zealand has come true: the landscape has been reset to the state it was 300 years ago. Today, on this island there are now birds which have not been seen for more than 20 years, and also a great number of the fur seals live here again. This documentary shows the breathtaking landscape of the fjords seen from the land, from the water and from the air.
