Using his hang glider Angelo d'Arrigo has flown across seas, deserts, volcanoes, glaciers and mountain chains in some of the remotest parts of the planet. Searching for a deeper meaning of flying he stopped his career as a competition pilot. We will see him flying with predatory birds and cranes in the two steps of his Metamorphosis project: First, a flight along the route of migratory hawks that set off every spring from the heart of the Sahara, crossing the Mediterranean until they reach northern Europe. Then, the attempt to reintroduce the Siberian crane, a species facing extinction, back to its natural habitat. A huge experiment for the international scientific community but also an incredible human experience for Angelo.
