Lobende Erwähnung 2012

Minutes of the jury

This film begins very strongly in one family, but slowly shifts perspective to reveal contrasting images of big business. Beautiful camera-work follows the chain of people from those grubbing the ground to those grabbing grubby money. The film shows the backward reach of Chinese superstition to a family life’s in Nepal.
