- Karl (24) and his sister Marie (19) live together with their father (60), isolated on a high alpine pasture. Their father has retired from the hard physical work and most of the tasks related to the pasture have been transferred to his son. Marie is working in the village and wants to live there soon. Karl would like to have a girlfriend, but he has no chance of getting to know girls. For him the only female he knows, is naturally his own sister, but he wants to meet other girls. Marie knows how to use this to her own advantage and to gain her independence. However, when Marie brings Leander (22) from the village to the alpine pasture, a situation escalates.
