- Description
- This is the capturing story of a young woman who undertakes a “journey” in order to expand her world by pushing her limits and facing her fear. Her husband, the famous Australian doctor Dr. Glenn Singleman introduces her to the school of BASE jumping, so that she can live out her dreams. In 1992, Dr. Glenn Singleman himself became world famous for his spectacular jump from the 6,258 m high Trango Tower in the Karakorum, and he shares his passion for this extreme sport with his wife. Heather Swan follows his passionate footsteps and, as a mother and businesswoman, she enters the world of “adventure”. This film is a very sensitive and honest documentation about the development of a desire for wanting to defy gravity, which in some aspects is not understandable. It is an emotional journey, which intimidates and frightens enthusiasts, as well as spectators. The film depicts an ambition that occurs more often in our modern society: to escape the comfort zone and supposed security to try and experience unknown and sometimes also unconscious emotional levels with only one step. Finally, Glenn leads his wife back to the place of his triumph of 1992, to Pakistan. As a climax or terminus in the journey they should jump together from the Trango Tower…

Glenn Singleman’s thrilling and spectacular film of his wife’s ordeal, who by all means wanted to make her doubtful dream come true. This pure experience of pushing the limits intimidates and shocks the audience but enthralls it at the same time.
