- Every year, 12 young people from all over the world follow the call of the school for violin-makers in Mittenwald in the Bavarian Alps. They come from South Korea, the Ukraine, Den Haag or for instance from Berlin. They come to the tranquil Mittenwald because they love music, and they dream of making violins. This film talks about students and teachers, about dreams and music, about wood and the mountains. They lead an improvised life for a limited time during which the shower stall is in the kitchen and the violin on the dining table.
