Description
In a remote region in Southern Venezuela towers the table mountain Acopan Tepui with its 700 m steep rock face dropping off vertically into the rainforest. Inaccessible and unexplored, this north face constitutes the dream goal of the professional climbers Stefan Glowacz, climbing legend Kurt Albert, Holger Heuber and the Venezuelan climbing star Ivan Calderon. As soon as they arrive at the base camp at the foot of the mountain, rain starts to fall– as predicted by the locals. For many days, the men keep on struggling up the mountain, in the pouring rain. Accomplishing the most difficult climbing, they conquer the steep, overhanging wall meter per meter. The rock is more fragile than they had expected and their progress is slow. They have hauled up enough food and water for four days and nights, they can not take longer for the last 150 metres. Will the four climbers be the first humans standing on the summit of the Acopan?
