- This documentary takes a retrospective look at an expedition that took place 20 years ago. The „Wall of Shadows“, the North Face of the Jannu which is 7,710 meters (25,295 ft) and part of the Himalaya range, is one of the most difficult walls to climb. During the expedition, two of the five team members fell to death while they were descending the dangerous wall. What are the thoughts of those who survived? Was it a high price to pay for the succes? This documentary answers some of the most difficult questions of extreme alpine climbing in an impressively honest way.

An unusual look back to an expedition that took place 20 years ago: pitilessly the survivors are confronting the question how the initially successful tour to Jannu, that eventually ended with the death of two climbing colleagues, is impacting on their lives until today. Triumph and tragedy are closely together – or as the film’s director points out at the end of the film: „Death has become a part of my life. It is life and death.“
