Description
The Nanga Parbat (8125m), known also as Diamir (“King of the mountains”), is considered to be one of the most difficult and dangerous mountains in the world. Its dramatic history of ascent is inextricably connected with the names Hermann Buhl and Günther Messner. The Styrian Gerfried Göschl is fascinated by this mountain; he prepares an expedition and gathers a group of five extreme mountaineers. Together with his team he writes a piece of Alpine history. They climb the Nanga Parbat on a new route, in the so-called Alpine style, and they demonstrate that true big adventures on world famous mountains are still possible nowadays.
