- Icy, hard slopes covered with artificial snow and reckless racers – the number of severe ski accidents is increasing. Doctors specializing in accident medicine report: on certain days, the situation in the accident and emergency centres is comparable to sick bays. We accompany Bavarian and Austrian mountain rescuers during their risky operations with helicopters and motor sledges. We talk to overworked emergency doctors and observe skiers in the Alps, skiing without any plan, racers without any conscience of responsibility and victims of accidents who have to deal with physical damages for the rest of their lives.
