In a modern winter resort, a parish priest tells the legend written by Adalbert Stifter: In spite of the hundred-year old fight between the villages of Gschaid and Millsdorf, the shoemaker Sebastian and Susanne fall in love. Their love is affected by stubborn prejudices: Susanne decides to return to their parents in Millsdorf, thus leaving not only a hostile atmosphere, but also her husband and two children, 11 and 13 years, Sanna and Konrad. The two siblings hope that the magic of the chrystal stone, that as everybody knows ensures eternal love, can bring back their parents’ lost love…
