A little village in the Swiss Alps, called Kiental, served Friedrich Dürrenmatt as an inspiration for his play “The Visit”. In the fifties the mysteriously unknown camera man Landtwing filmed the life of the village people. Christina Zurbrügg – singer, writer and film maker – was born there, and Dürrenmatt quite often met her grandfather in the bakery. Many years later she is allowed to use Landtwing’s film reels. She travels to her home village and tells us about memories and reality, past and present, with poetry, humour und her archaically urban music. A search for roots, identity and a new home abroad.
