Due to the changing climate, hail and strong rains cause devastating damages today, especially on the edges of mountain ranges such as the Alps and the Rocky Mountains. Damages to harvests, houses and cars add up to billions of Euros. Mudslides, landslides and floods cause thousands of human victims. This documentary accompanies scientists from Germany, Austria and Colorado. With the help of modern methods they try to explore the originating conditions for hail and strong rains. They intend to create a basis to enable men to maybe once tame the violent storms in the future, or at least to produce more reliable weather forecasts.
