“Fun Fatal”

What does man expect from mountains? Man makes the mountains adapt to his needs, but does man himself adapt to the mountains? „Fun Fatal“ deals with the everyday madness in the mountains, with the longings of individualists and with the mass consumption of skiers and snow boarders. Four young Swiss free riders tell us about their lives, their homes in the mountains and how they are daily confronted with the dangers of nature. Their jumps from rocks and slopes give an idea of how fragile and vulnerable men are in comparison with the mighty white giants. Is the risk really calculable? The mass tourists from the cities search silence and relaxation, what they find is stress and noise. Do they still know whether they are in a shopping centre or on a mountain? This is where the fun and leisure time society rules - no matter whether you are a ski tourist or extreme mountaineer. However, in the mountains the immoderate consumption and the highly praised “fun” can quickly become fatal.
