The pictures of the enormous atomic explosions shattering the Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean in 1946 have not gone out of our mind. The US Forces had chosen this remote area to fire 23 atom bombs for test purposes there until 1958. The result was a natural disaster of enormous dimensions. Today silence reigns in the atoll. However, was nature able to recover above and beneath the water? What do the ships look like, which sank in that period and today lie on the ground of the lagoon? A nature paradise has developed and has hardly been explored.
