Irmtraud Hubatschek and Joel Jenin want to look for the footsteps of the mountaineering pioneers of Corsica. In addition to the explorer Felix von Cube they find famous names coming from all of over Europe, among them numerous well-known personalities from Germany and Austria, such as the painter and mountaineer
Edward Theodore Compton, the Munich roped-party Schmidbauer and Leiss, as well as the living mountaineer legend Kurt Diemberger. For the film shooting, Diemberger came back to the island after decades, and he lets us participate in the beginnings of the Corsican mountaineering successes.
