Georgia was visited by William Osgood Field, an American geologist and glaciologist, in 1920-1930-s. He has captured over 500 ethnographic photos, three extremely valuable films and has written hundreds of papers regarding Georgia in that period, particularly, about Svaneti - a delightful mountainous region of the country. These documents were available for Georgian society only after 80 years, which were accidentally discovered by Professor Irakli Iakobashvili. Following a path of Doctor Field and his adventure in Georgia through his rich archive materials, we reconstruct the situations and stories, by traveling in previous times yet within the same space.
