The mountain massif of the Styrian Hochschwab extends from the Präbichl in the west, to the Seebergsattel in the east. The jagged and steep grey limestone faces with their numerous summits rise into the sky. In between there are wide high plateaus and smooth hills on which the cattle grazes. This documentary is dedicated to the natural beauty and to the power of nature on the Schwab, and it tells us stories about people living there. The dairymaid Hilde on the alpine pasture Hörndlalm is one of the protagonists. For the last 44 years, she has been spending every summer on this pasture, without electricity and running water, in the western part of the Hochschwab Massif.
