- Description
- In winter 2000, the Bavarian top climber Alexander Huber sets off all alone on the north face of the western Zinne. He succeeds in the first ascent of an extraordinarily difficult and physically demanding route in only five days! Along this route, which he later names “Bellavista”, Alexander remains true to his ethic principles: no bolts along the pitches. In summer 2001, Alexander returns to climb his route freely, despite the poor safeguards. After 20 days, he is finally successful in the first red point ascent of one of the most difficult and physically demanding climbing routes in the world. This film was difficult to make because of an overhanging roof of 50 metres, and it was necessary to install several cable cars in order to create as many camera angles as possible. Heinz Zak documented the solo climb in winter and the first red point ascent in the lower 11th grade with fantastic shots.
