Description
An international expedition, which includes the three best Polish mountaineers, tries several times to reach the difficult summit of the Makalu (8,462 m). Weather conditions are extremely bad and the demanding conditions of the high altitude cost the life of one companion. This film gives an insight into the motivation and the spiritual convictions of the different members during this enormous physical strain. It also shows daily life, with the joyful and the tragic elements side by side.
