Description
The legendary table mountain Roraima in the border triangle of Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana is a symbol for adventure far away from any civilisation and is of a breathtaking, incomparable beauty. At the end of February 2010, the climbing super star Stefan Glowacz, and his long time partners Kurt Albert, founder of the red point climbing movement, and Holger Heuber set off on an expedition into the unknown. First they approach, in dug out canoes on the rivers, then have to walk on foot for two weeks across the jungle until the extreme climbers reach the rock tower “La Proa” which rises like a ship bow from the jungle. They want to open a new spectacular route across this 600m high overhanging north face to reach the plateau of the Roraima. However, for the team, this expedition will be more than a struggle against the challenges of the wall…
