Description
The Danube is considered as the Queen of the Rivers. Its course is one of the most picturesque and changing on our continent. With its length of almost 3000 km, it is the second longest river in Europe – the Danube. Time and again humans have tried to tame the Danube. Some sections have been canalised and built as a modern water way. However, until today some exceptional landscapes with a rare fauna and flora have managed to survive on its banks.
