- Animals in our garden, in the surroundings of our working place or in the middle of the town, we know that they are there, but we hardly pay attention to them.
Such a place is the area of the broadcasting company ZDF in Mainz-Lerchenberg. Every day, numerous employees pass by fascinating animals and plants. This documentary gives an insight into this micro-cosmos. The animal life on the Lerchenberg is filmed with special cameras. Forty colleagues of the ZDF have voluntarily given one year to this film project. The result is a rare and fascinating insight into a seemingly well-known environment.
