Description
The first rock climbing on Saxon Sandstone was accomplished in 1864, on the Falkenstein, a 90 metre high summit which is one of the highest climbing summits in the Saxon Switzerland (Germany). One cold morning, five courageous athletes, - two cabinet makers, a saddler, a merchant and a brick layer - dared the first ascent on this rock. This film chronicles this historic event with a slightly humorous eye.
