Twenty years ago, Andy Parkin and Mark Twight opened a route on the Mont Blanc-Massif, which they accurately named „Beyond the Good and Evil“. Steep granite, covered with a thin layer of ice, challenges the climbers mentally and physically. The pins of the ice gear and the crampons have to be placed exactly, to prevent falling. Andy Parkin, who after a serious mountain accident, today is living as an artist on the foot of the Mont Blanc, talks about this first ascent. Two of the best Chamonix climbers, Sebastien Ratel and Marion Poitevin, reveal to the camera how challenging this route still nowadays is.
