In the year 1963, a pilot crossed the whole Province of Québec in the north east of Canada in his tiny airplane. From high above he looked down to dog packs, tents and igloos of people, who had not changed their way of life for centuries. This pilot’s name is Johnny May, and he himself is an Inuit, and he was the first pilot of his people. In 1963, he was not aware that he would become a legend. Johnny has spent 34.000 flight hours in the air, which corresponds to a period of 4 years. He has flown for many rescue operations and he has helped to explore this isolated region.
