A sunny winter day in the Austrian Alps. Perfect conditions for the professional ski free riders Stefan and Björn to pass a perfect training day. But when Stefan hears a loud bang on his way down, he immediately is aware that an avalanche has set off and that now he will have to struggle against the white death. Stefan is trapped in snow. When he regains consciousness, everything around him is black. The heavy snow masses are pressing down on him, with every breath the air becomes shorter. Björn skis down to the avalanche toe and with his techniques and his experience he tries to rescue his best friend. A race against time starts.
