The Danube flows for approximately 600 km through Germany, from the source in the Black Forest to the border near Passau. In its upper course, the Danube is fragmented into a chain of storage lakes. Who does not remember the drastic pictures of springtime 2013, when talking about the Danube, about the hundred year flood? Broken dams, desperate people, floods of a height of several metres, which carried away everything and destroyed existences. There have been many discussions about the reasons and the backgrounds. This film intends to give a voice to the river itself. Whoever will listen and watch carefully, will understand the complexity, will know how this river lives and works, and will find the approach how to prevent almost every flood and how to make them less dramatic.
