Robert Winkler (Lienz, Austria)
Robert Winkler was born in 1966 in Lienz (East Tyrol), Austria. In 1988, he studied one year at the Montan Universität Leoben (University of Mining, Coal and Steel Industry) for one year “Civil Engineering“, before he completed his studies at the University for Music and Performing Arts” in Vienna, in the degree programme Film, from 1992 to 1998. His final examination film has received an enormous success and was awarded international prizes. Since 1993, he has been working as a camera man and has cooperated in successful films, such as "Steijerska", "Null Defizit" or "Unterwegs nach…Heimat", which won the Austrian Film Prize Romy for the best Austrian Television Production in 2005. Working as a cameraman for numerous productions, he has travelled around the globe, from Ghana, Brazil and the USA to Mexico and Spitzbergen. In addition, he became a film producer, and also in this field, he has achieved national and international successes.
Udo A. Zimmermann (Germany)
Udo Zimmermann was born in 1950 in Passau, Germany. He studied German Philology, Sociology and Geography in Munich, and he as well was a visiting student at the University of Film and Television. After having worked two years at the University of Munich as a scientific employee, he started as an editor at the Bavarian broadcasting company Bayrischer Rundfunk, where he worked mainly on medical programs and, since 1989, more and more with animal and nature films. From 1994 he developed several nature and animal film projects and he was one of the main initiators of the series “Wild Germany”. From 2005 he has been the director of the editorial department “Animals and Nature” and vice-director of the program area of science, education and history. He had the responsibility for nature films, he has produced many films and worked in many co-productions. As a director and author of numerous documentaries, he travelled all over the globe to research and shoot nature films.
Kai Erenli (Austria)
Kai Erenli was born in 1977 in Darmstadt, Germany, and after his school education he graduated in Law at the Graz University. He works as a certified project manager, and since 2007 he has published works over law and project management related topics. In addition, Kai cooperates in the development and direction of the degree programme “Film, TV and Media Production” at the advanced technical college of the BFI Vienna (Vocational Training Institute). Furthermore, he is member of numerous scientific committees, such as the „International Conference on Interactive Mobile and Communication Technologies and Learning Immersive“. In 2015, Kai Erenli was awarded the State Prize “ars docendi” in the category “Economy and Law” by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy.
