Only thanks to the new technologies of satellite maps, have scientists discovered an almost 2000m high mountain chain in the Serra da Mocidade National Park, deep in the Amazone rain forests. Ten years ago, the experienced scientist, Professor Mario Cohn-Haft, spotted the isolated, extremely high mountains on the maps. Since that time the mountains had been preying on his mind. Together with a multidisciplinary team, he set off on an expedition to confirm his assumption: To find an as yet undreamt-of number of unexplored fauna and flora species on these isolated mountains.
