He has done first ascents of the most difficult climbing routes in South America as well as in Switzerland. Nevertheless, Pirmin Bertle from Egling near Lake Staffel, is almost unknown outside the climbing world. For him, climbing is a true passion and not a means of perfect self-marketing. He sticks to his radical life style, which many hobby climbers are dreaming of. He travels to all climbing areas in Europe and in the rest of the world, he prefers to sleep in his tent rather than in a hotel, he loves his freedom and nature. Even as a father of two children, he manages not to give up this life.
