On the occasion of his 50th birthday, Robert Jaspers gives himself a very particular present – an expedition for him alone. The climber and mountain guide is a minimalist. He knows how to master critical situations on the mountain in a relaxed and concentrated way. On the eastern coast of Greenland he sets off from the village Kulusuk in a sea kayak. After 12 days of paddling and carrying heavy loads, he arrives at his basecamp on the foot of the Molar Spire. He starts to climb the almost 500 meter high rock face solo. In addition to the climbing difficulties and the enormous strain, he also has to struggle with the heavy burden of extreme solitude.
