It is no secret, that the Dolomites are an inspiring destination not only for hiking and climbing, but as well for ski touring in winter. However, there still are some areas, where only a few ski tour addicts go astray, as for example in the Val di Zoldo, in the south of Cortina, between the mountains Civetta, Monte Pelmo and Bosconero. In the mountains of the Zoldo area one finds many steep couloirs, lonely summits and untouched slopes, and in the valley charming locals who are happy to tell stories about their region.
