The Hochschwab is the mightiest mountain massif on the eastern end of the Alps. Already more than 200 years ago, the young Austrian archduke Johann had climbed in this spacious mountain region in the Styrian limestone Alps. His tours have left traces until now. Today, the mountaineers hike along the traces of the popular Habsburg and discover an area, which has remained primeval and unaltered in its harsh beauty.
