Lobende Erwähnung 2019

A hidden antique realm in an almost inaccessible region of the Alps is the cradle of the Celtic culture – Hallstatt. This is a place of superlatives. Thousands of years ago, this was the living space of an incredibly rich civilisation. The source of their wealth was salt, which was exploited in the mountains and traded in all over Europe. This civilisation has left a gigantic burial ground and numerous salt tunnels, in which the organic objects of their everyday life were preserved. It seems as if time had stood still for thousands of years.
